The Fond du Lac Children's Chorale, a project of the Fond du Lac Arts Council, Inc., is in residence at the Windhover Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The Chorale is governed by the Children's Chorale Committee of the Fond du Lac Arts Council, Inc., under the advisement of the Executive Director of the Windhover Center for the Arts, the Chorale's business manager, choir directors, and parent/community volunteers.
The Children's Chorale Concert Choir is directed by Jane Shirek and
the Festival Choir director is James Estes. The Chorale is financed through generous contribution from the Noon Kiwanis of Fond du Lac,
the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, registration fees and fundraising activities.
The Chorale consists of two choirs representing different levels of vocal
experience and ability. The Concert Choir is a training group and the
Festival choir is the advanced choir that performs off-site at many
different community and statewide functions. The singers are auditioned
from grades four through eight. A singer whose voice has not changed may choose to continue his/her membership beyond the
eighth grade.
